Over one year since I wrote my last blog entry! 2019 was a great year with my little biodegradable seed cards hitting lots of lovely places throughout the UK and even a few places overseas.

I started with a great show in January 2019 at Top Drawer meeting lots of stockists old and new. My little cards have been well received, people love the eco friendly aspect and giving something a little more than just a card.

I then went off on back to back shows in May exhibiting at RHS Malvern, coming home for a day then straight off to Germany where I exhibited at a beautiful Garden festival in Fulda, about an hour east of Frankfurt. This was my first time driving a distance in a van on the other side of the road! A great show and something a little bit different.

June saw my first appearance at PG Live. Lovely show and I’ll be back this June 2020 with a selection of new things. Great to catch up with some of my existing stockists including Zazous Editions, Kew Gardens, Paper Tiger and Petersham Nurseries to name a few.

July, I was back at the prestigious RHS Tatton Park. This was my 2nd year at Tatton and was another great one. Fab to see all the other exhibitors again.

September – I exhibited at Glee, a gardening trade show at the NEC, this perhaps was not the best for me. We were all stuck in a little row at the back of the NEC hall. Anyone who has been to the NEC will know how big it is! Not the best for my little business still good to get out and about and do something different.

Then it was the slippery slope into Christmas. This Christmas was a little manic. I was lucky enough to have been featured in two magazines, Somerset Life and Country Living which boasted the interest in my little seed cards. I decided earlier on in the year that I would only take part in a few christmas markets. With a busy year of shows and over 10 markets last year I selected only 3 to appear at. It was lovely to get outside of the office and meet people and talk about the seed cards. Was also great to hear the success stories of people growing things from the seed cards.

2019 finished with a bang. I can now add Paperchase to my stockist list where I designed, printed and packed a few thousand Valentines and Mother’s day cards for Paperchase.

And that’s the whole year wrapped up! I’m hoping not to leave it so long before my next post!
